While there have been scattered, unconfirmed* reports of free wifi, there is technically no free wifi available to anyone. Wifi is available in most resort common areas (lobbies, pool areas, convention areas) for a fee. This fee is not waived for DVC members as the in-room wired internet fee is.

*Unconfirmed in that some posters seem unclear as to whether they were accessing the hotel wifi or an unsecured wifi signal from a guest's wireless router.

There is free wired internet in the rooms. An ethernet cable should be hanging in the closet. You can bring your own router to set up a wireless connection. If your room is close to Big River Grill you may be able to use their wi-fi. I used to do this before internet became free in DVC rooms.

Just adding to Jean's post that wired internet is free to DVC members staying on points. If you are renting points or staying as a cash guest through CRO, free internet will not be available to you.
