I would love to hear your thoughts!

Planning a trip in the Spring and my parents will be traveling with us! Free babysitters! :)

I would love suggestions for a great date night in the Beach Club area!

We will have park hoppers!

Thanks!

Bluezoo or Flying Fish if you're looking for something a bit fancier. Maybe Shula's. (anything at Swan/Dolphin won't accept the dining plan if you have it)

If you do pick one of the fine dining restaurants at the Swan or Dolphin (bluezoo, Shula's, Il Mulino, etc), Groupon has a 20% coupon available through the end of the year- google Groupon Orlando or the specific restaurant for the offer.

~NM- I see your trip is in the spring.

Folks on the Beach & Yacht Club FAQ thread rave about Flying Fish.

:goodvibes

I would suggest going the Boardwalk route - Flying Fish for dinner, then depending on your mood, going to the AbracadaBar or Jellyrolls ( or both!) afterwards.

Enjoy!

On the podcast about a year ago they referred to the Atlantic Dance Hall as "the place where fun goes to die." So....not there.

Since you are staying at the Beach Club, I would maybe suggest Monsieur Paul in France if you want a more upscale meal. I haven't been since they have updated it, but it is quieter than Chefs de France.

What is your budget? Are you on the dining plan?
Everything recommended so far is a Signature - expensive - 2 TS credit restaurant. They are lovely, but costly.
I would go with Flying Fish if it is in the budget.

We left the kids in the room one night (DS15 and DD9) and ate and drank around Epcot. We offered to take the kids this night but they wanted to hang by the pool and just unwind in the room afterwards so it was an impromptu date night with no ADR scheduled. We ended in the UK and found a spot to sit at the tables next to R&C. We grabbed some beer and fish and chips. We watched Illuminations from that spot. It was an awesome night.

During our stay at the Poly we did a date night by going to Trader Sam's without the kids. Another night we hit Cali Grill and watched Wishes from the observation deck.

We had a 10 night stay and my kids like relaxing and hanging out together without the parental units. Don't want anyone thinking I neglected my kids. lol

My favorite date night is doing the California Grill during fireworks. Amazing. While staying at the YC, my husband and I have also had dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse and then strolled the Boardwalk and hit up Jellyrolls. Beaches and Cream is a good ice cream stop too :)

Yachtsman Steakhouse is fantastic - and quiet. We liked that better than Flying Fish (though that was before the recent refurb). The lounge next door to the Yachtsman is also cozy for a pre (or post) dinner drink.

Il Mulino at the Swan or Shula's at the Dolphin. Nice stroll from the BC. Flying Fish too at the Boardwalk would be another choice. Read reviews and see what sounds good and fits your budget. There are alot of cool restaurants at Disney Springs but there is something about staying local at the Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin, or Epcot that is neat. Enjoy.

If you want to stay in the resort area, there are a TON of great restaurants - bluezoo, Il Mulino, Shula's and Kimono's (our favorite!) at Swan/Dolphin. We also like Trattoria al Forno. Unfortunately we had a not-so-great experience at Flying Fish, so I personally don't think it's worth the cost. AbracadaBAR is fantastic and watching the entertainment on the Boardwalk is a lot of fun.

My DH and I had an EP date night in August and had a great dinner at Spice Road Table. We also rode Soarin', saw some of the entertainment in WS and watched Illuminations. We also like Monsieur Paul for something a little fancier.

I would do Yachtsman Steakhouse. Then I would head over to Epcot to stroll around WS and get a drink (or two!) and watch the fireworks

I also love the idea of California Grill (even though it's not near BC)

I am torn between Flying Fish and Yachtsman. Mmmmmm.

I like this idea too!

I agree! I want to stay local. I have to admit...I forget out the Swan and Dolphin. I have heard great reviews of those dining options. I will check out the menus.

LOL! Atlantic Dance Hall always makes me sad. I remember when it was first opening I was PUMPED to go there but it was sooooo dead and soooo lame. I get contact embarrassment walking by it when it's an absolute ghost town on a Saturday pm.

I should add that after a nice big meal DH and I like to take a long walk. So you could definitely go to say, Cali Grill, get off the monorail in Epcot and walk through leisurely back to the hotel. Take a stroll through the countries at night. It's very relaxing :)
