Staying at Aluani on rented points

I was wondering what the differences are when stay at Aulani on rented points vs as a DVC member? I've heard mention of DVC member discounts and members party, or those the main differences? When checking in, are the bracelets given the same regardless?

You will not get the sparkly pool bands unless you have a blue card. Even us lowly resale members get the non-sparkly bands. You won’t get the free refills on your popcorn bucket. The member party is strictly for blue card members as well.
