Hi! My husband and I are taking our kids on a 7 night cruise in FEB!! We are SO excited. My husband travels a lot for work, and has racked up a TON of Hilton and Marriott points ( and Choice hotels) I was wondering if the HIlton near the port, or the residence inn (or other one of these brands) will allow you to stay on points, and leave you car and take a shuttle to the port? We will pay a fee if there is one, Just not sure, do I make the reservation on points and then contact the hotel about the shuttle? Thanks for any help, I am going to make the reservation soon! MB

yes - we stayed at the Hilton last Oct on points. (Of course - it is probably subject "to availability" - however that works) You can just put the info in on the Hilton site and it will tell you if there is availability.

We were staying for the night after the cruise only, but they told us it would not be a problem to drop a car off before and leave it for length of cruise. They did not have their own shuttle, but you can use Art's - or whatever the local service is. I am sorry - I can not remember what they charge. We ended up taking a Limo service to and from the port and only renting a car for that one day.

I would reserve online - and call them to confirm the info about leaving the car and the shuttle - just in case it has changed.

Have a magical time!:wizard:

We are staying at the Doubletree Hotel in Cocoa Beach the night before our 12/29 cruise. We are using DH Hilton points. I think it is 10-15 minutes away from the port and we are leaving our car there and taking the cocoa beach shuttle, which is $8 rountrip per person, I believe. It's right on the beach- looks pretty nice and the price is right! :yay:

We're using Marriott points to stay 2 nights at the Residence Inn at Thanksgiving, but we aren't going on a cruise. I would book the hotel as soon as possible while you decide. Are you driving your car or will you have a rental? If the latter, it's probably cheaper to drop-off the rental car before the cruise and pick-up another one when the cruise ends.

Yes, we will have our own car, We will be driving down the day before, and satying the Friday Night. I am going to make the reservation very soon- ANy thoughts on which is a nicer hotel- Residence Inn or Hilton? I think I will make the reservation and then call about the shuttle service, thanks for the help!

We looked at the residence inn for our april cruise. It was 20,000 points for a night. It also said free parking and $6/person round trip to the port. I would call them directly to ask about the shuttle times.

We are going on a cruise in April and are thinking of flying in the night before. We already purchased DCL transfers which are non-refundable and are looking for a hotel near the airport that has a free shuttle back and forth to the airport. Any recommendations?
