Staying at 2 universal hotels?

Hi, we are staying RPR club for 5 nights( 2a/2c). My eldest son is now joining us for part of the holiday, so I have requested the roll up bed ( $25 p/n extra).
He has friends who are staying at Cabanna bay for part of the time we are there and he may choose to spend day/ night with them( he is 21).
Do they need to add him to the booking at Cabanna bay? Will this then cause problems at RPR?

Being 21, planning isn't his strong point so his plans will be ad hoc and likely to be spur of moment and I don't want it to create issues at either hotel
Any advice?

Since he is over 17, you will have a $25 per night charge when he is registered as staying in your room

The additional charges per night for adults in the room at Cbay are less than the deluxe resorts

Shouldn't be a problem to add him to either hotel

Better perks for him when he has the hotel card at the deluxe
Free unlimited express line usage in the parks

Both hotels have early entry for their registered guests
