We just got back from a week at Pop and loved it, however we want to try out one of the other value resorts for our trip next fall. What other value resort can live up to the fun we had a POP?
It will be dh(30), me(28), and ds(6).

I think most people wonder why you want to switch since you loved Pop so much. Pop is the largest value resort, so do you want to try another resort because of the size? The room sizes will not differ, the food is basically the same...
What experience would you like to be different at another value? :-)

I also have stayed at POP and this time have decided to try another value. We really wanted ASMo but they were full, so we are at ASMu. I am excited though because I have heard it is much quieter and they have activities/movies by the pool at night. Very fun!!! We leave in a few days, so we'll see!!!

We've stayed at both ASMO and ASMU.... Both were great, the kid's loved the themeing in both places. Just back from ASMU and they had alot of activities for the kids by the pool. Buses we had no problems. The old tale about All Stars sharing the bus just isn't a factor. We shared 2 times in our 12 Day's and I think those were when we went to DTD. Next time we will try either Sports or Pop. But whatever you decide I'm sure you'll be happy with it. We just want to experience a different one each time so each vacation feels different. Never know unless you try them :)

Hey, I though ASMu was great!
There is a Diser who responds with lots of info about ASMu, check the FAQ threads!
We were most pleasantly surprised at ASMu, it was cheerful and fun, but I think it is not quite as popular as sports or movies, so you get a slightly quieter experience. I loved it! I also was really impressed with the efficiency of the bus service. You might want to stay away from ASMu if there is a marching band competition going on in WDW, because there would be a lot of groups staying there, so check the calendar.

Pop is my favorite value, but AS Mu would definitely be my second choice in a value.

For me, I would return to POP and I am heading in two weeks for visit 3 there. Just a considerable step above the others with it's lake, landscaping, extra pools, large foodcourt, it's own bus, indoor bar.........

2nd pick probably ASMO because of the great theme, I prefer their pools and think your DS would like it there. Buzz, Woody, Love Bug, Mighty Ducks - real boy kinda place.

3rd pick probably ASMU because of recent rehab. Nice resort, just music as presented doesn't click Disney for me, but you can always walk next door to Movies.

4th pick ASSP because I just don't like the theme, it is the main resort for teams and groups. Just not my cup of tea.

POP is widely known as the nicest of the Value Resorts. The only comparable resort is All-Star Movies. Not quite sure if you would find All-Star Sports and All-Star Music as nice as POP. Both Music and Sports are undergoing/have undergone a renovation so you can perhaps book a renovated room.

It is important to note however that large convention groups (like the cheerleaders that come ever year) are put up at the All-Star resorts. Sometimes it can get quite loud (teenage girls on their cell phones):cool2:

I would stick with POP or try All-Star Movies. If you want to add a little extra money to the room Port Orleans is really nice.

Just would like to try something new is all. Our trip to WDW next fall will be our last for a while, so we just wanted to try other options :confused3 :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for your replies ...... I am going to book the end of this month, I think I'll try All Star Music as it seams to get great reviews ! :goodvibes
