Staybridge Suites LBV vs. Residence Inn LBV

We need a 2-bedroom, 2-bath hotel for the first week of January. Staybridge and Residence Inn - both in LBV - are both available but Residence Inn costs $300 more for the total 5-night stay. Both have hot breakfast included. If we have a car and are planning to visit only Disney parks and DTD - is there any reason to choose one over the other or should we decide on price alone? The Residence Inn appears to be a little newer but input from anyone who has stayed recently at either is appreciated.

Also looking for recent info and rates for Staybridge Suites LBV. We are possibly booking for October.... thanks!

I'm surprised that the Residence Inn is higher priced as the Staybridge is in a better location and, in my experience, is a better property. I'd pick Staybridge over Residence Inn if the Staybridge cost more!

We have stayed at Staybridge for the past three years. Usually for a few days prior to staying onsite at Disney.

I can honestly say we have never had a problem. Units are nice. We were worried this year because on checking in we heard that two high school bands were staying at the hotel. They placed the groups together in one area of the hotel and overall we had very little noise. Breakfast offers the usual continental buffet, plus made to order waffles. Pool area is very nice. There is a grocery store next door and Giordano's pizza is very close.

My husband frequently stays at Staybridge Suites on business trips, and he especially likes the one at LBV. He says the rooms are very nice, breakfast is great, and several nights a week they have a reception with free wine, beer, soft drinks, and snacks...hamburgers, tacos, salads, etc., with something different each night. I´m going with him on his next trip to Orlando in a few weeks, and we´re staying at the Staybridge. I´ll give you my opinion then.

I haven't stayed at either of those particular properties, but I do stay at Staybridge Suites and Residence Inns on business a lot. Overall, I tend to prefer the SS. In most cases, the rooms are very similar, but I generally find the food to be better at the SS (both breakfast and dinner).

Have you considered renting a condo or house? Generally, they're quite a bit cheaper, and while they don't include breakfast, they have a full kitchen AND a washer/dryer.

Good luck!

Thanks for the SS info. I thought about a condo, but we will only be there for 5 nights and the condos I looked at were all for 7-night rentals. The AAA rate for Staybridge Suites is $171 per night so I don't know how that would compare to a condo if I could find a 5-night rental. I kind of prefer the breakfast included option at a hotel just to get going quickly each morning.
