Staybridge Suites International Drive Questions?

Hi there!

This is my first post ever! I've been lurking for quite some time, planning our first ever WDW vacation.

We have a great deal for Staybridge Suites IDrive, and employee rate through DH's office. We have to stay at this location! Any recommendations? We know that it's a budget hotel, so we aren't expecting the Ritz.

Can anyone tell me if the Children's pool is heated?

I haven't stayed at this location, so I can't help much, but I can tell you that I have stayed at other Staybridge locations and really like them. The ones that I've stayed in are comparable to the Homewood Suites that I also stay in regularly (except that I like the food better at Staybridge).

Make sure you're signed up for the Priority Club (Holiday Inn's member rewards club). It's free, and I always get a welcome gift (don't know about this property though). You also get points to use for future free stays.

I've also always gotten free upgrades. I generally reserve a studio when I travel on business (alone), and they've always upgraded me to a 1BR.

Just as an aside, I was at a horse show a couple of weeks ago and stayed at one and had a 2BR reserved (one room for DH and me, one room for my DD, and a couch in the living room for her BF). The "larger" bedroom had two full sized beds (the ones with the kings were taken). I had called and asked for the king but told them that the two fulls would be okay. Without my saying anything else, when I got there they asked if all four were adults and then offered me a 1 BR that had a king bed and two more studios (one each for DD and her BF) at the same price AND apologized for not having a 2BR with a king bed available. Now that's customer service!
