We now have 12 brave WISH souls starting our challenge on July 5. There are over 180 hits on this thread so you lurkers and any on the fence, just jump right on over from the "dark side" and join us. We can do this for one month and free ourselves from our scale addictions!
Sue - I really like your idea to gauge your progress over the next month. I'll be measuring myself and hopefully purchasing those tight size 14 jeans I tried on at LB last week to gauge my progress.
Doe - I know what you mean about having a rocky relationship with the scale. I weighed myself last night and I was up 4.5 pounds. This morning it's gone and it took the 1/2 pound that I had gained with it (thank goodness) but I just can't stand this rollercoaster emotionally anymore. I don't want my day to be made or broken by a number on a scale! Glad to have you with us!
July - We're glad you're doing the challenge with us! Congrats on the 2 pound loss that is wonderful. If you want to weigh yourself one more time (okay, or several times) before the July 5 start date so you can have something to compare after the challenge is over, feel free!

please count me in for the challenge. When I first started out on this new lifestyle I didn't have a problem with weighing myself more than once a week. Now that I'm in my healthy BMI range and getting closer to my goal I find that I'm weighing myself more often, and because the weight isn't coming off as quickly --or not at all right now!!-- it's more difficult to deal with. So I figure that if I can stay off the scale for a month then hopefully when I do weigh myself I will see a loss.

Okay it starts tomorrow! And I couldn't resist I weighed at Publix tonight. I know its not the best time to weigh but I was out of town this morning not near a scale.
