I've heard mixed reviews about the Radisson and have a lot of starwood points that I can use at the Sheraton by the airport. Is it much easier to stay at the port?
I think it depends on how late you arrive and/or how long your flight is. We always stay at the airport Hyatt after flying across the country. I'd use the points and stay at the airport. The trip from airport to port is only about an hour, so it's not such a big deal on the morning of the cruise.
we stayed at the hilton by the airport. no big trouble, just hopped onto their complimentary shuttle to the airport the day of, got on the first DCL shuttle, and got in line at the port. arrived at port @ 10:30-ish.
hopefully, if the magic moves to the west coast for summer 2005, we'd just get dropped off! hee hee
Personally, I like staying by the airport, but we usually arrive pretty late the night before the cruise. I grab a cheapie hotel room near the airport via Priceline. I think the Sheraton is in the same vicinity...if so, there will be restaurants within walking distance. Then we have time to sleep in a bit before heading to the port in the morning.

my family has done both. If our flight is a late arriving one, then the Hyatt is the way to go. Also, we have rented a car and gone over when our flight is a late morning or early afternoon. Personally i like being close to the port, and then we can sleep a little later in the morning.
donaldsgal...i meant if they do come out this way for the summer, 2005, for their "trial" thing. i'm just hoping & wishing! maybe i'm in the minority, but i can still dream...
