Same thing here A! I can completely log off close window and still just hang in VMK for hours.

I know people talk to my character and think I am being rude but I am not really there

yup, it wouldnt bother me except, people are sending me messages "why wont you answer me"

I thought this was a problem with the Shockwave cache not being cleared out. It does happen to me on logoff, but my characters all go away once I close the window. If you have any other windows open using Shockwave (another VMK, Pirates beta, etc.) you could linger until you close those windows. However whatever the reason VMK should be notified, because this is also causing the Shockwave error about "...castmembers...".

I guess I don't get it. If this is happening because you don't close out your window completely (instead you're just logging off), then why don't you just click the page off competely each time and log in another character with a fresh page... No more lingering mules... beats having to "hide" in a room somewhere because you're afraid of being banned.

Sometimes I forget. Other times, just too lazy. I see some people linger even when they close everything out. I hope VMK can address this.

This has always happened to me. I used to use Internet Explorer, didn't like how slow it went, so I went to Firefox. It kept happening. Just switched to VMKPal and it still happens. My favorite is when I have one of my boy characters that I've logged off, and I see him in a room, and all the girls are asking him if he's taken and why won't he talk to them LOL! But yes it is quite frustrating to have people think you're ignoring them! If you figure out a solution, please please let me know!

Hey aengus. I also have this issue. My sister will call me 5 minutes after I logged off and say, "I thought you were logging off....well, you are still in my room and I am taking to you!"

Oh, that happens to my brother and I alot. I signed off while he was on another computer. When I came up and saw what he was doing, I was still there. I went back downstairs and opened up my name and signed off again, then I left.

Samething happens to me but now it says on vmk pal there is technical difficulties sorry if i spelled that wrong but lol oh well i can log into vmk homepage just fine but this is just kinda weird

This bug also causes problems with staff-made quests, especially ones that end up in a room with just a few instances (the original gallery, or Tiki room, for example). If people log out while still in that room, quite often their character stays and takes up space so the lines move slower since the rooms are still 'full'.

Yes, above poster, I was going to mention that problem. That is probably why there is a queue in the Quest rooms. People finish the quest and think they have logged out, when in actuallity they are still there. I have often run into my family members when they should be gone. To solve this I have started closing out IE when I finish each character. It takes some time; but at least I get rid of finished family and don't have to worry about them getting me banned for no reason.

LOL I have had this been happening to me. If I am trading an item from one character to my main and my other is in my room and i log off her...she will just stand there. So i just boot her LOL

This is a serious problem when you really think about it. Just like EyoreFANS12's thread. What if you don't know that you still seem to be signed on and are in a room with a problem and get banned? Would Contact Us believe that? I hope this bug gets fixed!

Well I personally would hope that this wasnt the case. Eyorefan will have to write them to find out what the bottom line is.

But I go to my AFK room, or not any room, and you could do that if you want to be safe. my afk room is locked by the way, so nobody could get in there to "get me in trouble"
