stay at windsor hills for universal trip?

We were planning to go to wdw in feb/mar 2016, everyone decided to do universal, and maybe lego land instead. We have been planning to get a 3 bdrm condo for our group of 5 (me, dh, dd, ds, and adult cousin). I know it's about a 15-20 minute drive to universal, which we're ok with. But, I wanted to check if anyone had any other suggestions for places to stay that are closer to universal? we need a minimum of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with at least a kitchenette.thanks

I was just going to post the same question, except we are looking for a 2 bdrm. We stayed in Wyndham Bonnet Creek on our last trip and loved having a kitchen, washer and dryer and a private balcony so much that we don't want to go back to a hotel room and we also decided to do Universal for our next trip. There aren't many short term rentals near Universal (because of zoning laws in the area) so WH or WBC are good bets. Vistana, Cypress Pointe and Grand Beach are slightly closer to US/IOA, but only by about 1-2 miles. Any of these choices would be great.

Vista Cay on Universal Blvd. is an option.

We did this same trip last year and it worked out well. If you are going for rope drop the drive to universal is not that much longer than going to the Magic Kingdom IMO.

There are several Marriott timeshare properties next door to SeaWorld that would be closer to Universal. Harbour Lake and Cypress Harbor.

Slightly further away, but still closer are Sheraton Vistana Villages, The Fountains and the Floridays Resort.

The easiest to rent would be Vistana, followed by the Marriott properties.

If you have younger kids, Harbour Lake is an awesome property, as they have so many fun activities and great pools. You'll have to drag them to the parks!
