Just curious, do you enjoy staying at your "home" resort(s), or do you like to hop?

Yes and yes. We love our home SSR. And actully feel guilty when we book and stay elsewhere. But we love experiancing all the DVC resorts!

We've never visited our "home" resort. We've stayed at 4 DVC resorts ... but tend to focus on BWV for its location (nearest the Dolphin).

I'm not sure which poll option relates to us. We always stay at SSR (our home resort) but will dally a bit beforehand at another resort. For now I can't imagine visiting Disney and NOT staying at SSR part time.

Once we use our BLT points for the fly-down 3-day stay however, things'll change. I'm not sure how we'll react though.

But of all the resorts, the only ones I can say we have no interest sleeping in are BCV, OKW, HHI and VB. Also GCV when it comes online. Reason being they are too similar to places we already stay.

I think our add-on trips will rotate between BWV, VWL, AKV and BLT with SSR being the anchor resort.

We love SSR too and have stayed 3 times but we have also stayed at BWV, BCV and OKW. This summer we are trying AKV which we added on last summer for a 2nd home resort but we are staying a week at BCV first. I love trying them all and I don't feel guilty doing so. :goodvibes Oh and we have done split stays too. First time home we were at SSR and BWV, last summer we were at OKW and BCV and then another split this summer.

I've tried them all except AKV on property. I am happy to say that my home resort is my favorite WLV.

I would say BWV is my 2nd favorite. A 5/5 split seems perfect:goodvibes

With 5 home resorts, I am happy to stay just there.

We're staying at SSR for 4 nights in March, only because I have developer points that can't be used elsewhere. I've stayed at SSR and OKW before, but don't plan on going back.

We're making our way through the list of resorts and will eventually visit all of them except probably GCV. We've loved every resort we's visited, but OKW is still our runaway favorite. It just seems to fit our vacationing style perfectly, and we love the huge villas and low points costs.

That's why I wasn't sure which answer to select so I selected the 2 or 3 resort option. Except they are ALL my home resort so I don't consider that to be "hopping". We bought where we want to stay.

I've only ever stayed at my 1st home resort but we will be staying at our 2nd home on our next trip and will likely add on days at SSR. We definitely want to try BLT out on a future trip and the girls are desperate to try BCV. Since we are completely hooked on Disney for our vacation, we are going to try to make it new and fresh.

Looks like hopping is in our future plans. It's part of what makes DVC so great. Having so many great resorts in close proximity and of course located at our favorite place on earth. You cannot go wrong.:wizard:

We tend to stay at our home resort for our week long trips during holiday periods(SSR at Thanksgiving, VB at Easter).

It's our shorter trips during slower times that we "hop". Early May at VWL, last Jan at BCV and starting Thursday BWV. Getting out of the OH cold!

Doing it this way, I don't have the stress of doing the 7month switch at busy times, though I did have us on a WL for Thanksgiving, but the kids insisted on being at SSR, so I cancelled it about 2 months in.

Personally I like SSR for week long stays, but prefer the "hotel" type resorts for shorter stays.

BLT will be next on the list, I want to see how things work at AKV with Kidani opened up first before we stay there.

I have two home resorts, and I tend to only stay at those two.

We love SSR but have enjoyed the other resorts we've stayed at. So far we've managed Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge and Old Key West. In February we are staying at the Beach Club. Looking forward to trying to switch my September reservation to AKL if possible just to try it out. We are also hoping to try BLT at some point.

My DH always wants to stay at the BWV's ("Isn't that why we bought it?" he says!).:sad2: I love trying out new things, and have a list of "future" trips. He took a look at my list and said" We won't be getting back to the BWV's for 5 years!" I think my work around for this will be to try a couple of split stays!:thumbsup2

Home Resort and all time favorite, OKW but sometimes we stay at AKV & BWV, usually at the request of friends and/or family.

I picked option #3. BWV is our home and we love it there. We also love trying new things. So far we have stayed at all the DVC resorts with the exception of SSR and AKV. Right now we have no plans to try either of those and I highly doubt we would go back to VWL. I'd go back to OKW, BCV, HHI or VB again and of course we plan to visit our BWV home many times in the years to come. We also would love to stay a BLT some time in the future as well as the villas at the Grand Californian. We hope to own at Ko Olina.

We enjoy all the resorts. We have 3 home resorts, but have stayed at all the WDW DVCs and Vero Beach. We look forward to staying at HHI someday also.

We hopped until we tried all the DVCs. Now, we'll alternate between our top resorts. My favorite is AKV, and I stayed there three trips in a row last year. Three times without hopping was enough for me. I was ready for a change.

I don't know how the one resort folks do it.

I have four Home Resorts, I feel that is hopping. I do like variety. I have never booked at the 7 month window.

We always do a split stay at two resorts per trip, but last summer we stayed at three, because we tried VB too! That was really fun and we are definitely going back! Can't wait to keep trying new resorts!:goodvibes
