stay and scream ticket dilemma

Okay, here's my problem. We have our daytime park tickets already, and want to buy stay and scream passes for Thursday, Oct 21 for HHN. However, I was told that this can't be done because I'm not purchasing my day passes at the same time and they can't pull up my ticket confirm over the phone because the online purchase differs from if you call up (they have different systems?) plus I have the electronic will call so there aren't ticket numbers 'assigned' to me yet.

So, should I wait until I arrive to buy the stay and scream passes or should I just buy full price tickets now? Will a Thursday night sell out? Are there limited stay and scream upgrades (meaning I'll have to buy a full price ticket anyway)?

There is no separate Stay and Scream option (as far as I know.)

I'm pretty sure all you need to do is to be in the park at closing and to show the employee your HHN admission ticket in whatever holding area you are located in.

We waited on 10/8 & bought the stay & scream as we were leaving the park. When purchasing the tickets, the girl commented that only a few weekend days later in the month sell out. I'd wait & use the $ you save to buy the express passes. We made a big mistake not doing that.

On a Thursday night you should be pretty safe with tickets being available. As for the purchasing you should be able to purchase them on the phone. I've purchased them before and they never asked me for any information off of my annual pass. All they care with the SnS is that you are in the park before it closes and that you have a ticket for HHN.

I had the same experience where I couldn't purchase mine over the phone or net beacuse they couldn't confirm that I did indeed have day passes. We waited until we got there 10/09 and bought our stay and scream passes before we entered the park for the day. From the looks of the crowds I don't think they ever sell out, what a horrendous mob!

Like I said there is no such thing as a Stay & Scream pass. Just buy tickets for the ngiht you want online or over the phone, but by mentioning S&S, you probably confuse the employee over the phone. S&S is an option for those guests at the park that day who also happen to have HHN tickets for that night, there is no separate S&S ticket.

There is a Stay & Scream upgrade available that saves you money over the Event-Only ticket price. You save $24 over the price of the HHN ticket only.

According to the US website ( http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/hhn/2004/theme_park_upgrade.html ), the upgrade is only available online or at the parks, and it looks like you need to buy it along with your regular park admission ticket (I know that's what I did that last 2 years. When HHN was only in IOA, we bought one day tickets for US, and the Stay & Scream upgrade for IOA that same night. It saved us a bunch of money to do it this way).
