Stateroom temperature - nightwear?

For our 3-night cruise on the Wonder, I want to pack as lightly as possible. I'm stumped about what to pack for our DD (age 4) to sleep in. During the summer (in A/C), she usually sleeps in just a T-shirt. In the winter, she wears pajamas with long sleeves & pants.

Which should I pack for our March 1-4 cruise?

Thanks,
Laurie

I found most parts of the ship to be rather chilly. I wore sweatpants to bed almost every night, and there were nights when I was still chilly - - in May!!

Bring some sort of sweatpants or lounge pants to wear to bed.

Our stateroom was pretty warm last May. We had to finally ask for a fan. My son, who is 4, slept in summer pj's (shorts and short sleeve). I just slept in a nightgown. My parents stateroom was quite nice, so I'm not sure....I would probably go with the tshirt, because she sleeps with that in the summertime with the AC on.

We went in January and our stateroom was warm. We turned the AC down as cold as it would go and still we were never completely comfortable. The maintenance people adjusted the thermostat (they said) but it never made a difference.

So it seems like it could go either way: cold or hot....?!?

On our first cruise I froze at night...but the second one I was very comfortable. Didn't pack any special night wear either time...just wore my normal t-shrit like nighty. My girls slept in some light weight Disney pj gowns...and they never complained about being cold or warm.

I slept in a t-shirt, our SR just at a 'just' right temp

We were able to find a comfortable setting on the thermostat in the room. Only time the temperature varied was when the kids left the door to the verandah open, it didn't take long for the room to get hot and humid with the door open.

Our stateroom never got cold enough for me. At home I sleep with the A/C on 60 and it didn't get anywhere near that.

I think we had the thermostat down as low as it would go (which isn't much). DH was fine and I was cold, so I folded the extra blanket in half and just kept it on my side of the bed for an extra couple of layers and things were fine.

LOL..we only have 3 hot months so its not to bad, it averages out with the less than normal oil bill for heat since I like it cold.

I showed your post to DW.........she is in shock. Mind you this is from a woman who is known at her work for being the one eating her hot soup, with a hot cup of coffee, outside on a 102 degree day with a sweater on.

I've had fantasies of sleeping in a life jacket (with p.j.'s, of course) just in case.

Hi
Our stateroom was cold I would say freezing last week I took a pj's with capri bottom and even then I was cold .
In my opinion I would bring 2 kinds of pj's better be safe then sorry .
:)

Our first day, it was pretty warm in our cabin. Once the ship got going it seemed to cool to a more comfortable temperature. I did ask the maintenance people to look into it, so I'm not sure if they did and fixed it, or it really just a case of it getting going again. Not sure if they switch everything off to test it in between guests. Or if the people before us just didn't have it on much.

That's funny. My DH says I am the only person he knows that takes a sweatshirt to Disney in August -- and wears it!
