Stateroom selection?

We went on our first Disney cruise last Feb. and loved our room location. We were in cabins 6049 and 6047 they are cat 11 . It was great to be right in the middle of the ship, it was convienient to every thing and we hardly ever used the elevators.

We are planning another trip in April 2006 and I would really like to have cabins in this area again. Other than booking directly with Disney can you be assigned a specific cabin with other TA's?

YES u CAN Just Ask who ever u Decide to Use For what ever cabin u Would like .. it is as simple as that... We Always request a certian cabin ...

However the last I knew, you had to make the requests early before only GTY reservations are allowed.

I'm not sure how this might have changed now that you can select a cabin number when you make a reservation on line, but it at least used to be Cabin selection is only allowed until a certain percentage of that catagory has been booked. So if the magic number is 60%, once 60% of the Cat 11 reservations have been made, cabin selections for Cat 11 becomes disabled.

Of course the other reason to book early is so that someone else doesn't select the cabin you want before you do. Generally speaking, cabins toward the center of the ship go first.
