stateroom number

I changed my stateroom number ....but now, I worry that it has a navagators veranda.....anybody know anything about stateroom....

DCL has this room as a Cat 6 - Deluxe stateroom with verandah. dcltribute.com says it is a Cat 6 but has a solid white wall verandah which means that you have to stand up and look over the railing. Most Cat 6 rooms have plexiglass that you can see through even when seated. Hope this helps.

Also if you go to www. castawayclub .com (take the spaces out after the first period and before the last period) they have pics up of the difference between plexiglass verandah and the white wall verandah.

We just returned from our August 22nd cruise and we were in room 6144, exactley the same, except the other side of the ship,aft. It does have a full varandah but with a solid white railing instead of the plexiglass.
The positives for this was that it was very quiet at the back of the ship,very private on the balcony, near to the aft lifts and just 1 flight of stairs down to the movie theatre and kids clubs.

The cons were that our room was the first cat 6 next to the cat 7 navigators varandah and the balcony view is slightly obstucted by the curve of the ship,room not as light as with a room with the plexiglass, you have to stand up to see out.
I think it is just personal preference as other cruisers have liked both for differnt reasons.
I have booked again for next August but this time have chosen mid ship with a plexiglass varandah just so we can see whilst sitting down out there.

We were just assigned 6644 for our cruise on 9/25 Magic. I have sailed with the solid verandas before I never felt it was that big a deal not to be the plexiglass one....

I like being aft on the ship so I am looking forward to staying there. I will report and take pics and let you know how it was.
