Stateroom by the elevator, yes or no?

I got a room right next to the elevator? Is it going to be a problem for noise?
I could try to switch to another deck. Not sure if it is truly a problem. Let me know your experience.

We had a room near the elevator on a recent cruise and it was wonderful. We were the first door when we got to our floor, and never had any excess noise.

I like being near the elevators, especially the fore elevators:
You do run the risk of a bit more noise, especially by the mid ship elevators, but it is worth the convenience. The walk to the elevator can actually be pretty long through a narrow hallway.
I particularly like the fore elevators because they are the least crowded.

We also had a room next to the elevators on the Wonder, deck 2, forward. I am very sensitive to noise, especially at night. I never heard anyone entering or departing from the elevators.

We like to be near the elevators and have never had any issue with noise.

The only noise we really ever here is when the occasional kids go running down the halls laughing and talking. Nothing too terrible.

I really liked being near the elevators - we didn't really experience extra noise (it was the aft elevators on the Magic) So convenient, plus more people can see your stateroom door decor!

I like PP had a room on deck 9 Magic by the midship elevators it was wonderful. It easy to get on and off elevator and as soon as you walk out your room was there . Another benefit is because sometimes I get a little dizzy walking down the long narrow hallways .

we tried an inside cabin last cruise and were in a room sort of behind the elevators.. i was worried. there was zero problem. no noise, very convenient

I prefer nearby but not right upon it. It's the People gathering and waiting and Yapping I'd prefer to avoid, lol

We were assigned the first room off the elevator on the Wonder and when I found out, my heart sank. In hotels I absolutely loathe this location due to hearing people gathering and talking. Being in that room ended up not being a noise problem at all! Also, we participated in an FE exchange and having our FE hanging right there in that location concerned me greatly. That aspect wasn't a problem either.

My first choice would always be to be away from the elevator "just in case" but look how many of us where near one and didn't experience any issues. I think you will be fine!

On our April cruise we were right off the port side forward elevators on Deck 9...the only issues we had were when people were a bit tipsy and loud getting off the elevators and walking to their cabins. And when kids were yelling and crying at the end of a long day/night because they were exhausted. Or when the elevator doors opened and a gaggle of teens were playing "let's stop at every floor and yell something/anything" Other than that it was fine.

We actually prefer staying on Deck 10 all the way forward starboard, under the Rainforest and at the very end of the long hallway. Super quiet and no one comes all the way down the hallway unless it is officers going to the bridge or our neighbors in the next cabins. And they are really quiet.

We have stayed three times in 5552 on the Dream which is directly behind the forward elevators. As far as noise from the elevators themselves, never heard it. The forward elevators on the 5th deck do not see as much foot traffic.

I have stayed on Dream, Deck 7 midship, right by the stairs/elevators and it was much quieter than I expected. We did hear the occasional noise but nothing too bothersome. And I am VERY sensitive to noise (always bring a white noise machine traveling, etc.).

We had a room right off the elevator mid ship for the 14 day PC cruise. I worried it could be a problem. It wasn't. Never heard the elevators. In fact it was great being right off the elevators. Very convenient to elevators and steps.

The elevators on the ships have their own lobby, they are not in the same hall with the staterooms, it's not like some hotels. I know in a lot of hotels, you don't want to be near the elevator banks, but it's not really the same on the ship. The stairs are there as well.

I was worried about the same thing, cause we booked our upcoming cruise near an elevator, but after the research I did and reviews on the room everyone says not to worry.

We like being near one of the elevator lobbies. Much more convenient. I haven't noticed any appreciable difference in noise between being close and not being close.

Put me as close to the stairwell as possible.
