Stateroom by the elevator, yes or no?

We always prefer to stay by the aft elevators and have never had a challenge.

Wife and I have stayed in staterooms near the elevators two or three times and it was never a problem with noise and actually convenient to be near them.

We love being by the aft elevators...close to MDR's and beverage station! :drinking1:woohoo:We infrequently heard some people talking as they pass by but only because I was near the entry door. In the living area and bedroom, didn't notice.

we were ~2 doors away. didn't mind it esp when you think you've got everything, press button for elevator only to realize you left something in the room, but develop magical speed to get back in time. noise wasn't a big deal, but if you rock till you drop, you'll sleep thru it.

Our past 2 rooms have been near the midship elevators on the Fantasy. Absolutely no problem with noise/traffic

I usually try to get a stateroom near the elevators but not that close. I definitely stay away from the laundry rooms.

We had a starboard stateroom facing the forward elevator lobby on the Wonder for the recent West Bound Panama Canal trip, I chose that room for the convenience to the elevators. I did have a little apprehension being there for the entire 14 day cruise, but as most have posted, it wasn't an issue at all. It really made it handy to pop up to the room after shows in the Walt Disney Theater or other gatherings in the After Hours area. Being forward also wasn't nearly as busy as the aft or mid-ship elevators usually seemed to be. Most of the noise we heard were usually the room attendants cleaning.

One of our favorite rooms is 8662 on the Dream. It opens directly to the elevator hallway. On the Dream/Fantasy, the elevators are actually perpendicular to that lobby area. We have never had a problem with noise (either elevator or people). We have had more issues with noise when our room faced another room and they kept letting their door slam whenever they entered/left.

By the elevator is my first choice.
We have not had noise problems and it's so convenient

just got back from 7 nights and we were right next to elevator, never was an issue, in fact, we love how quickly we can get on it!

I booked 8662 for our December cruise. Can you share your experience with the room and vibrations? Was it bothersome?

I loved our room by the elevator. Not that we took the elevator, I have to take the stairs to work off the food! We never heard the elevator. I now request a room near the elevator/stairs for easy access.

8662 is our favorite room, but we have only been on the Dream in that room, not the fantasy. No vibrations at all in the room, that we experienced, but again only on the Dream from Port Canaveral to Nassau, so no big stretch of high speed. The room is a 7A, with a VERY SMALL obstruction in the upper corner of the balcony, it doesnt even extend down to the floor of the balcony. The balcony is also great as there is only another balcony on one side of you.

I think you will enjoy the room. 8662 is our goto room. We are on the fantasy in November, and if it was available, would be our first pick.
