Stateroom Beds

I noticed in the stateroom descriptions by DCL, it says that staterooms have "one queen-sized bed or two twin beds". All the pictures I've seen have had a queen bed. Has anyone ever actually been in or seen a stateroom with the twin beds instead of the queen bed? Just curious......

The queen bed is actually two twins attached together. The room steward will seperate the beds for you if you would rather have the twins. It is a very comfortable bed and you would never know there was a separation in the bed.

As a matter of fact, I sailed with my grandson (7) on the Magic 9/13/03 cruise and had the queen bed split into two twins. The "twins" are not the same width as a regular twin bed. I'd say about 6" narrower, but very comfortable! As a side note: You can get as many pillows as you want! I had 4 (ok... I'm a pillow freak!)

We would love to have the twin beds for my daughters. When do you request that? Is that something I should add to my reservation? Or just wait til we get in the room? It doesn't seem fair to the poor steward to have to make the bed as a queen and then turn around and make it as twins later the same day!
Thanks for the help!
