Hi there a friend of mine has just got this stateroom on her up and coming cruise on the Magic.

Has anyone stayed in this stateroom before or in the vicinity of it ? If so is it OK?

TIA

We just got back from our 4 night cruise 10/5-10/9 and stayed in room 8552 (Same category as 8060 just on the other side of the ship) and that was our 2nd cruise to have that same room! WE LOVE IT! I wouldnt know about being on Port side of the ship.... but I love starboard side for 2 reasons.... in Port Canaveral... you are looking at the terminal and 2.... at Castaway Cay you are facing the most beautiful and tropical island and you can look down off the verandah into the clear water! But no matter what stateroom she has... it will be a Vacation she will never forget!

Aww thanks for that info.

I was on Starboard last time I cruised and certainly know that beautiful CC view :teeth: but you're right she will still have a great time and who knows The Magic may go in forwards on her trip to CC.

We were in 8550 not too many rooms up on the opposite side and it was ok. I definitely wont stay on that floor again just because of the noise issue of hearing deck chairs scraping and mostly kids running on the deck constantly! We also didnt like that we could HEAR the sail away party from our room and our kids were wiped out and needed to go to bed and so we finally had to turn on our sound machine really loud to drown out both the music/sail away noise and also the running around of kids on the deck above us. It was very nice and convenient however to stay that close to the pool deck and where scoops and plutos was...I think I gained an extra 10 lbs because of that! :earseek:
The room was ok for the 4 day cruise but I dont think I could handle it for 7 days!

She will have a good time no matter what I am sure (we did even despite the bad things I listed) and I would rather have that room than no room at all..but if I had my choice I wouldnt stay on deck 8 again (at least where we were anyway).

We were on this same deck, but we were under the adult pool. It was very quiet. We didn't hear the deck party (not even from the verandah), kids running etc. We loved deck 8.
