I want Deck 2, but this is what I'm getting. It is on Dave's "noisy room list".
Anyone been there and done that?
Thanks,
Melanie

Think we were next door to that cabin 2yrs ago, and found it just fine. Is also very convenient for getting off the ship in port, due to the location. Anyway, we always use ear-plugs as the creaking of the wooden furniture keeps us light-sleepers awake! One word of warning though...............I got up one morning, threw open the curtains to look out of the porthole(while still undressed)completely forgetting that we were in port, to be greeted by a CM cleaning the windows! Dont know who was more surprised!Have fun. Nat

we were just in 1051 and the only problems we had were a horrible smell from tub 1st night. (host took care of) and long time to get elevator -we ended up just walking up stairs if we were only going 2 or 3 flights

We stayed in 1048 and loved it for many of the same reasons posted by nat. We had two portholes, one for each kid!

We stayed in room 1037 on our last cruise and loved it. It was on Daves noisy list, but we found it to be very quiet, and convenient when time to get off at ports. We would stay in this room again if we were staying in an inside stateroom. tjhutch

I feel better now. I went so far as to think that if I couldn't get on Deck 2, I'd move my cruise date since we're flexible for about a 4 week timeframe.
But then the "noisy list" seems to take up almost all of Deck 2 rooms between overhead nightclubs and 3 elevator/stair areas, so I got to thinking that maybe deck 1 might not be so bad after all. There are only 42 rooms on deck one, so how much disturbance can we cause each other?
I know we'll get the gangplank traffic down there; but then I think I read that CC uses one deck and Nassau uses another?
At least if we're sick, we'll be close to the medical center!
But I AM worried about vibrations making me sick if there are any.

We did not notice any unusual vibrations on Deck 1. We did hear some loud clanking when we were docked in St. Maarten. It sounded like someone was pounding on the side of the hull. I would guess that anyone on that side of the ship would have heard it too, and it was probably part of routine maintenance operations done while in port.

Have a great time.
