Please don't shoot! We will be visiting the last week of October and while we are interested in experiencing the World of Harry Potter we are a family with a 13,11 and 9 year old who have not seen the movies or read the books. So, should we just do that part last?

It's just part of a theme park? :confused3 It's not like you have to swear alligence to Harry or Voldemort or actually understand anything...

I have no interest in Harry Potter but really enjoy that section of the park -- it's incredibly detailed and well-themed and I think can be enjoyed by anyone who loves that kind of craftsmanship.

More importantly, Dueling Dragons is an awesome coaster. If your family loves coasters, it's a ride you'll want to make sure you experience -- Harry or not.

Thanks! I guess what I am trying to figure out is that even though we want to experience all that is in the park, since we are not die hard fans, should be tour that part of the park at the end instead of the beginning like we normally would. Thanks!

That's the most reasonable plan. When you arrive, do all the stuff in the front of the park first; it'll be dead as everyone will be running to WWOHP.

Save WWOHP for the last 2 hours of your day to really soak in the fun of it. Even if there are people who have no idea what it's all about, they can appreciate the detail put in to a themed land.

my ears are ringing.
are you talking about me......:rotfl:

never into the parry hotter thing.
not the movies, not the books.

but, i really did enjoy the hp section at ioa!

it was brilliant!

details all over the place.
FJ ride was great!

the character actors really have it down pat and are convincing with their spiel.

i loved it and i know nothing about parry hotter other than what i read on these threads.
and by listening to the peeps in the park talk about different things they point out.

you do not have to be a fan to enjoy it.
i spent a couple of hours in it for a couple of days and plan to do it again on my next trip.
i had a wonderful time there!

i got hooked on the butter beer.
the frozen type..
