I'm curious to know what your state does for testing?
Here in Washington we have the not so beloved WASL you have to pass it to graduate
Testing is going on this week but I'm a freshman and since our state is broke I dont have to take it... Only sophmores do...
So instead I get to sleep in and be to school by 11:30...
So what testing does your state do also is it an easy test or hard and are the stakes high for passing it?

I dont know why we have to take the FCAT. I've been taking it since the 1st grade.
In 4th, 8th, and 10th grade you have to take the FCAT writes.
In 11th grade you only have to take the science FCAT.
Every other grade, besides 11th/12th, takes math and reading FCAT.
Lasts about 3 days, and really isn't a big deal.

I think it's used to place us.

Here they have to take the ACTAAP. It starts in 7th grade, and you have to take it every year except for 9th. Basically, the teachers spend the whole year scaring the crap out of you about this test, & it's the easiest thing ever.

So glad I don't have to deal with that anymore.

I haven't had standardized testing since 8th grade.
But, I'll have to take the HSPAs next year. :headache:

We just took math assessments.
They were pretty easy, I got exemplary.
If we didn't pass we gave up our 30 minutes in the morning to do this math computer review thing. (A few friends had to do that and they hated it) And we had to go into applied math.

Since I passed I get two last class passes. (I get to leave 45 minutes early) and I get to move onto Pre-cal and I don't have to take math finals this semester. :D

We have the CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam) ere. I recently took it and it had stuff from 7th grade on their. And I'm in 10th. I was sort of insulted to take it.

I took the OGT my sophomore year. If we didn't pass it we didn't graduate. We could take it up to four times. I got accelerated or advanced on everything except science which I got proficient. It was by far the hardest area of the test. We took it over a whole week for the first 3 periods of the day.

In elementary school we had IOWA tests. In jr. high we took a test in 7th grade but I can't remember the name of it.

I remember the IOWA test we took that in third grade
I remember it was really easy and all fill the blanks lol
Now adays from 3rd Grade up you have to take the WASL and thats all teachers focus on
Everything they teach has to do with the WASL and 50% of the kids flunk it anyways
Its something like the 4th hardest test in the country and Washington has some like 3rd highest worst education rate so it just doesnt work out lol
