Starwood Just Called Me

The lady said it was a courtesy call prior to our arriving on 30 Dec. It turned out to be a call asking if we would go on a 90- minute presentation to another Starwood resort in Orlando and in return get transportation there, a small breakfast and 10,000 points. I've never used points before - is it worth doing???

no...the 90 minutes is from start to finsih of the presentation, not inlcuding travel time...you might as well kill the day...for 10K points, NO WAY...

I wudnt do presentations unless I got free hotel rooms, for that stay!

If you have time to spare, may be a nice half day. I was offered the same last year, almost was going to stop over, but some DIS'ers called and we got together instead. 10K Starwood points will give you about 3-5 days in a mid-range Starwood hotel. When I go to Milwaukee on my way to MCO, I stay at a Sheraton Four Points (very nice) and it costs me 3K points on a weekday, 2K on a weekend). So, if time to spare, maybe consider it. Just don't give in to the pitch.
