Our first morning (a week from Thursday) it will just be me, my wife, 5yos, and 2yos.

We are planning on using our Magic Morning entry and then have priority seating reserved @ 11:30am at Cafe Orleans. We also want to get HM and POTC in either before or after lunch while in the area. Is this giving us enough time to do a lot of Fantasyland and Toontown before heading over to lunch. We are also trying to decide if we should stay the rest of the afternoon after lunch in DL or head to DCA until its time to go back to the hotel and get ready for the Trick or Treat party that night.

Should I have made the PS later or is that going to give us enough time to enjoy those areas. We are not necessarily expecting to hit everything in those areas, but to have a chance to make some memorable experiences doing some things that all 4 of us can do together

We will worry about SMGG and the other rides that our 2 year can't go on once we have other family there to help entertain him or ride swap with.

Are we heading the right direction with our planning on how to maximize the time while its just the 4 of us or does anyone have other suggestions?

I have not done that exact plan but it sounds doable for sure. At least IME it is, we've been able to do that with an 11:30 BB PS.

You'll be getting Fantasyland done during MM. From there you can go to IASW and ToonTown. TT has only two rides, one of which with a FP (that doesn't impact getting FPs for other rides later), so you can get in there, meet some characters, etc. The coaster has a height requirement that I doubt the 2 year old will make...silly question for me to ask, but does Roger Rabbit have a height req? It's REALLY loud and kinda scary, but at 2 that might not bug your kidlet tooooo much (at 3, forget about it).

Then you could head to HM and POTC (or start over at Pooh then work your way back?)...are you going soon, during HMH time? HMH has FP, so you could grab a FP on your way back to Pooh. Ride Pooh for the 2 year old, make your way back over to CO.

I dont' see a problem with doing FL, TT, and some of NOS/Critter from MM to 11:30, as long as you're aware of when to do things and what all there is to do (for instance, TT, not all that much for a 2 year old other than play, IMO).

You might want to hit Alice and the teacups on your way over to Pooh. I totally agree that you can get FL done during MM. There are alot of fun gadgets at TT but you should still get everything done within an hour. Pooh takes about 10 minutes. HM grab a fastpass. POTC takes about 20 minutes to get through. So plan accordingly

Just curious when the park opens. Because MM is the hour before the park opens, and then Toontown doesn't open until one hour AFTER official park opening (aka 2 hours after the start of MM). You should be able to get in all of FL during MM if you are there at the beginning. However, after that, you will have an hour of in between time before TT opens. To minimize backtracking I'd do some Tomorrowland rides (except Nemo) or grab some FPs. Then when TT opens do that for however long and then walk (or you can take the train) to NOS for your meal.

Ok looking at the DL calendar DL opens at 9. So...
-MM (fantasyland) from 8-9
-Something from 9-10
-Toontown from 10-whenever
-PS at 11:30

I think we will probably do the Matterhorn and BLAB and grab fast passes to SM during that hour before toontown opens. I thought I had read that the trains our down during our trip next week so we won't be able to take advantage of them. Maybe after fantasyland we will just trek through TL and see what we can do grab a fast and then cross over to Adventureland and to Jungle Cruise and other rides while trying to get a fastpass at 9 and another at 11 on our way to lunch. IF the trains are open that might allow for Toontown to fit in there a little easier.

The biggest thing was I wanted to make sure that a PS that early wasn't shooting ourselves in the foot with unnecessary time constraints, but it seems like we should be able to get plenty done and still have an early lunch.

Agree with this time table. I think you will have plenty of time.

As far as staying in DL or heading to CA after lunch, I really think it depends on what you got done in the morning, what you want to do for the afternoon and how many more days you will have in the parks. I would say, play it by ear and see what you feel like doing.
