Work had screwed up my lsat check, it was about less than half of my normal check so i had to scoot around bills that could wait another 2 weeks, therefore most of this check is going towards bills about $400. So I am now freaking about my disney bill.. even though i have 6 months and 9 more paychecks... im still freaking over what i have left from my half of the disney stuff my half left from that is $1354.. hopefully i can put that extra $237 from the next check on to it.. and hopefully buy that extra battery for my camcorder.. so its $1354 then the $165 for universal and seaworld tickets.. then another $150 to kick in for gas, but that i dont need till we actaully leave.. and thats it.. but still its alot..

So because of the screw up with my check and then this one being used only for bills.. im stressing a bit over the disney payments..

That sucks. If my job screws up my check, and they have, payroll has to cut you a new one by the next business day.

it was cuz i was sick the week before and they never put in my sick hours so i could get paid for them...

wow and they arent fixing it,,,I would have a little talk nice one with my boss over the sick time... how about this add up the disney bill and divide it for the remainer paycheck see what you really need to buy and dont buy anything extra till you make up the amount lost.

example if you buy 4.00 coffee in the am dont buy it anymore till you make up the money you lost

I feel your pain i have had alot of junky parttime jobs that if you noo worky you dont get paid sick or not, i have gone to work sick just so i do get paid, which is wrong because im just going to make someone else sick....

Hope you are feeling better:)

I am sorry you are so stressed.

Today, now, do not delay, begin to set aside some amount of money in an account for when life happens - it has, and will again - so you will not go through this again.

Any amount to start, five dollars a week, what ever as long as you are consistent and DO NOT SPEND it unless for a true emergency. Disney is not an emergency;) But eventually you should have at least your paycheck covered so you will not get caught so short again.

I know most financial people want a lot in savings, and so do I:rotfl:, but for now you can set the goal of one paycheck.

Hope you can do this, and get some stress relief.

I'm sure I'm going to get flamed BUT.......

If you are so short that one check being screwed up puts you in this much turmoil SHOULD you be going to Disney?

Do you not have several months cushion against problems? If not then that should be your first priority not Disney.

I dont really buy anything extra.. i buy things that i need.. mylaptop is a nessacity believe it or not.. one so i dont have to use mom's all the time( she will be happy), plus when i go to disney, i can just load pics and videos right on there and have it all fresh and ready to go,
need a battery for my camcorder, which i found for a great price.. bathing suits are waiting.. then my laptop case i can get on this check...

and i just got my stock check in the mail!!!!! yay!! i can get my laptop now!

You can buy things and still save, it does not have to be all or nothing.

Five dollars a week in an account not to be touched is not too much if you are able to do all the rest.

Update things: luckily we got a myshare, a decent one.. and things wen smoothly and as planned for that chekc so i was able to put $400 on disney.. bringgs my half down to $954, and my cousin made her first payment this week of $200.. so im less stressed right now.. lease its under $3,000 total now.. its getting there.. i know she is waiting for the bulk of her half for when her husband's stock is able to be cashed in, which is next month as far as i know.. I'm tempted to wait till my stock gets to $300 get it out and buy our universal and seaworld tickets, and she can just owe me the half for hers.. i dont know for sure though..I wqould like to have something in hand though.. it would feel nice
