We've been several times in January always avoiding marathon and MLK day. Same this year. I've never used crowd calendars before, but this year i looked and had a similar freak out reaction! Why is it going to be so busy? Did i missing something? Get the marathon weekend wrong? It's always been fine crowd-wise in the past. I basically came to the thinking, if Jan is a 5 or 6, what the heck is 10?! I started questioning the accuracy and relativity of these scales. Which is funny bc i just saw a thread on this the other day. Another thought to help ease my concern...in the past and don't ask me why for the most part we've always spent all day at the park with emh. So in retrospect that was probably a poor decision and we were prob experiencing the most crowded park for day and still very manageable crowd levels. Going this time of year, we are used to ave waits of about 20min..shorter for some of the fast loading or less "excting" and maybe 30-45 min for mid level thrills. Then we just FP the things we know will have ridiculous lines (TSM, soarin, coasters, elsa anna, etc...)
Yes, gone are the days of going in September and literally walking in every ride with zero wait, walking up to counter services and not worrying if we could find a table and walking up to table service restaurants when you were hungry. Better yet, actually being able to WALK
