Whoever said going to Soarin at the drop off the rope at IG is right!

I remember last time we entered through IG at 9 on the dot, our family briskly walked towards Soarin (we cut through the rose garden) and as we approached The Land Pavilion we see this HUGE mass of people heading towards us with cast members leading the way...

As if this was all happening in slow motion, i yelled to my family "E-v-e-r-y-o-n-e...g-e-t r-e-a-d-yyyyy!!!..." and we just threw ourselves into the crowd as soon as the CM's passed....one of our most funniest moments ever at WDW!

You are at not disadvantage for coming from the Beach Club. Yes, it does take a tad long to walk to Future World, but I take a moment and look at World Showcase when it is empty. When the Millennium Celebration was going on, you could see them practicing at this time. Coming from the back though, go right to Test Track, it is the easiest ride to get too from International Gateway. If you all aren't going to ride Test Track, have someone else get fastpasses for another ride, or get fastpasses for Test Track then go to another ride.

Take advantage of being in the back, its INCREDIBLY easy to get back to your resort after Illuminations
