Part 1
So October 23, I started work at 8AM, with less than 24 hrs to go until we would leave for WDW. At 9:30 AM, I responded to a call
. While en route, I was struck on the driver side by an unlicensed driver, causing me to lose control, knock down two traffic signals, and smack a tree. Needless to say, my bell was rung. Once I figured out where I was
, all I thought of was how I was going to get on an airplane in a stretcher
. Fortunately, my trauma stay was short; CATscans were negative
. Still made the 7AM flight the next morning, just very, very sore and post-concussive. After the flight, and limping through MCO, the sight of Disney's Magical Express was uplifting....we were finally here
Orlando weather was 80, warm and humid, but rainy. Despite the rain, it was much better than 50 degree and sunny weather in Phila. Of course, being a die-hard Phils fan my whole life, the Phillies make their World Series run, the week I make my trip to WDW
.
Made it to our resort ASMo in less than 40 minutes. Check-in was less than 5minutes. Upon checking into our room at Toy Story Buzz (the room was clean [more on this later]), we were tired, but ready for lunch and a quick run to the Magic Kingdom. Bus wait was less than ten minutes, which held true for the rest of our vacation. Each bus was designated for All-Star Movies rather than All-Star resorts. After reading some reviews, I was girding for much worse.
Part 2 to follow later.
