Just got back from a week in Cape Cod. We were so lucky to hit the beautiful fall colors right at their peak. The beaches were so serene. There were many photographic moments, with quaint towns, picturesque lighthouses and historic monuments. We are going to have triples made of our photos so that we can each have a set of each others pictures. My friend is a scrapper too, so between us we will be making an album for my cousins. I can't wait to get all of the photos together and start our albums.

SOunds like a wonderful time! I love New England!
I also am starting an album I didn't plan on...a baby album for my son and then DD. I have all of their first pictures in pocket albums and I have baby books made but I was never happy with that set up! So...I broke down and bought the CM baby pages and an album. I didn't buy their baby book but a blue one. Figured I plan to do the first several years in it!
But I did stop at Michael's and used the AC Moore ad to get 40% off baby stickers, first hair cut and some paper! So I am very excited! Need to finish DS Halloween costume and then I will get to work!
Happy scrapping!

The CM books (standard non-leather ones) look really really good Embossed!!!! I encourage people to get those over their baby album and have them embossed with their name and date of birth, or if you are going to use if for many years just their name. They just look that good! My daughters each have one - one is sapphire, one is plum.

My parents just got back from a week in New England, with about 80 pictures of the beautiful scenery. I told them to pick the best pictures and I would do an album for them for Christmas. Now that I think about it, I have no idea how I will get a whole album completed in a month! I would be interested to hear what your ideas are for your fall pictures. I was thinking real simple, paper tearing and some stamps, so as to not compete with the great pictures. I was also thinking of picking up "Simple Scrapbooks." I have never bought it before, but I need some fast and easy ideas to finish this before Christmas!

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Lainy 67....that was my thinking too. Our LSS will emboss the cover. I kept putting off buying the CM album because I just wasn't thrilled with the baby booties! But loved the pages inside! Then when I found out I could order just the pages....I took the plunge! I think the album will go together quickly. All the pictures are in order and all the stuff is written down in his book!

MICKEY MOUSE: wish I could find the thread about who to do a book quickly. I think it may have been started by Chessie. One of the tips she or who ever gave was to gather all of the stuff and stick with one color scheme. Keep the embellishments simple nice matting, space for journaling etc. I have a feeling it will go really fast since it is all one area. Good luck!

I just did 20 pages in a 12x12 gift album in record speed. I wanted to scan the pages, but my scanner is not working properly, so I took pictures of each page. I have not developed them yet, but plan to do so soon. I would be happy to share them with you for idea's? The only thing is that I mostly did single photo pages ready to mount a 4x6 photo. My friend lives all the way across the states, and I had no pictures of the baby. I know that the single photo layouts made it easier for me, but maybe you can ask them for their most favorite photos? 20-30 or so?

I am planning to attend the Cropping on the Cape event in Cape Cod this March! Really looking forward to it. Already booked my room- they are filling up.

Thank you so much for the reminder. I looked up the thread and found the link to speed scrapping. I don't know if I'm that disciplined, but I will try my hardest to finish by Christmas. Here it is if anyone else is interested:

I would still be interested in seeing others' work as well (I love to "scraplift!). Thanks!

I have done only one gift album and I whipped it out in record time!! I love the idea of sticking to the same cardstocks-will look great!

Chessie-sounds like a great time -with plenty of awesome pics!

Chessie,
Sounds beautiful! Just last week I invited myself up to a friend's house in the spring to Cape Cod. He was always saying come on up and bring the family, so this time I said "Ok." I've never been there before and can't wait to see it. I'd love to see some of your scrap pages when you're through.
