So far I have been very fortunate to be able to go to Disney world every year since I was 6 years old. We have DVC and and plan to take our children every year for as long as we can. What are some traditions you started and are easy to keep up with? I'm thinking maybe start them on pin trading or maybe a picture in the same spot to watch them grow. Would love to hear your ideas. Thanks!!!

Oooo, good question!

A photo in the same spot is an excellent idea!
If you celebrate Christmas, buying a small ornament each year would be a nice tradition to start.
If your twins are girls, maybe a charm (for a bracelet) each year.
You could start or end each trip dining in a special place.
My DH and I always start out vacations with a Pina Colada, but the kids aren't involved with that one, lol. :hippie:

I'm looking forward to seeing what other suggestions you are given.

Every trip, we pick at least one new TS dinner meal to try. (Does that count as a tradition?)

Oh, and I add at least one Disney charm to my Pandora bracelet.

We always get the pic on Main Street with the castle in the background. It is fun to see the changes (but it's about every 5 yrs for us).
Maybe the pick a pearl in EPCOT (if you have girls) and you'd have an awesome necklace by the time they are grown up!
We definitely do pin trading and we collect the pressed pennies and keep them in a book (once we get enough I've seen where people make them into a Mickey head on Pinterest!).

Another suggestion is to have a silhouette cut of them together every year.

I have several of my kids. They are some of my most treasured possessions.

A very kind lady gave my daughters each a pin when she saw the looking at them in the store. That started them on pin trading. They each bought several while we were there and decided each time we come back they'd buy and trade. The also bought a lanyard to wear with them :)

I love the silhouette idea. I definitely want to do one of my daughter on our upcoming trip!

Where do you get the silhouettes? I love that idea (BTW, in my head whenever I say that word I think "silyawet" like Bert from Mary Poppins:))

My sister and her husband take a picture at the Mickey Head outside the Contemporary each time they have gone. I get myself and my boys a Christmas ornament. When they both moved out a couple of years ago they both took a box full of ornaments for their trees

I always bought a new charm for my bracelet with every visit. Looking forward to starting that tradition with my daughter this year!
