Right now, I have 2 DVC trips planned for 2010 a short one in May (getting closer) and a longer one in October. Usually I start to plan next years trip at about the same time when we come back from the last of the current year, I just get nervous if I don't have any vacations to look forward to.
Last week my uncle called (who is a cruise fanatic as I am, I actually introduced him to it) and said that he found a interesting Transatlantic cruise with RCL in Sept. 2011 from Copenhagen to Boston with several stops on the way. He thought we might be interested in it as well and as it would be their first time in America, we then could also add on a few days at WDW and maybe even do a short DCL cruise, as I'm raving about it all the time.
So I started to get into planning mode again, putting all the variables into Google Calendar. Ship will arrive in Boston on Sept. 17, we want to do some sightseeing, as we never have been there. There is a combination city tour / airport transfer provided by the cruise line. Then getting to Orlando. I said we should stay at least 4 full days at WDW in order to make it to all the Parks. Uncle wants at least a 4 nights cruise.
Looking at the cruise calendar, I notice there is a 4-nights cruise with Disney Wonder on Sept. 18, but it is not bookable through DCL. I heard this might be the possible date for the 2011 DVC Member Cruise, this would be even better.
So after the Disney cruise back to WDW, 4 days there and then back home.
It's a bit long day-wise, so it won't leave us much vacation days for the first 8 month of 2011 but I'm already getting excited. Right now I'm putting together spreadsheets with points needed in different variations for the DVC part of the trip.
