PremEars at Sea are usually at 12:01 the day the movie opens on land. That would be the midnight that changes the 17th to the 18th. And it will play several more times before the end of the cruise.

awesome!
i am so excited

how will it work on my upcoming cruise which disembarks ON the 18th? will there still be a midnight show the night before? how would that work logistically with everything else going on during the last evening? was really hoping we'd get a chance to see it....we don't get to the movie often with our little one but we'll have grandparents on duty during the cruise. :)

In the past, when a movie opened on debarkation day, yes, there was a midnight show (when the 17th became the 18th). Yes, it made for some really cranky people on debarkation.

This happened to us when Brave debuted. Despite being the night before (really the morning of) debarkation, the Walt Disney Theater was jam packed for the 12:01 a.m. show. Although I'm sure that waking up the next morning was hard, I only remember the great experience.

How do you think disney will handle the large volume of people that want to see the movie?
is it going to be a mob scene?

Not if everyone behaves themselves.

Since the WDT holds approximately half the guest complement, and the BVT can take about 300 more (on the Magic class ships), and I would think there are many who won't stay up until midnight to catch the "very first show", I would think there will be plenty of seats for whoever wants to see it. Who knows, maybe they'll run it on Funnel Vision also.

funnel vision would be interesting

would you prefer to watch it in the WDT or the BVT?
Id guess BVT

It would depend on the ship. The BVT on the Dream/Fantasy is much more like a "real" movie theatre. The BVT on the Magic/Wonder is much smaller, but still have the movie theater feel. But we saw a movie in the WDT once on the Wonder, and it was OK to watch.
