Stars on pins

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere, but

How do you get the multiple stars on your pins?

Is it just from uses or something. I see people with three or four stars and I was just wondering.

Stars come from combining your magic, if you have more then one of the same magic you can combine them up to 5 times(for 5 stars). You can never separate them once they are combined.

Step1: Take off your magic.
Step2: Click one of the magic pins from your stash and click the "Combine" button.
Step3: Click the same type of magic, and accept the combination.

its when you combine magic it becomes two star then you add another it becomes three star and so on until it gets to the five star limit then start another of the same magic

Its simple. To get a higher amount of stars, simply click on a magic pin select combine and click on the other magic pin. Press Yes and there you go you have a 2*

Example:
1* -Combine-> 1* = 2*
2* -Combine-> 1* = 3*

And So on. Hope this helps

Okay, I understand you have to combine pins in order to up the stars, but what pins work for what type of combination?

I tried to link up my pins all day yesterday and nothing worked?

Only the same kind of pins work. Pirate+Bling=Nothing happens.

You need to combine MAGIC pins for it to work. Say, if I had two Dancing Inferno MAGIC pins (I wish), I could combine them into a 2 star Dancing Inferno MAGIC pin. But, if I had two blue tiki pins, which are non-MAGIC pins, I couldn't combine them.

See, when you combine MAGIC pins, it strengthens the effect of the MAGIC. Like, your inferno would go for longer. Hope that helps.

Perhaps the most important thing about combining magic pins was in Tinkerbelle's post above and is worth repeating:

Once you combine them - you can never ever ever divide them again. (So if you have 2 snow magics, combine them, and later want to trade ONE, you can't.)

Important factor to remember. Have fun.

The advantage to combining is that the magic lasts longer (generally, but not for all pins), and also the recharge time (time between uses) decreases.
So a 1 star magic may have a recharge time on the order of a minute and a half, but a five star magic would be 7 seconds.
