Which parade do you prefer? We're going to have to pick one or the other for our March trip. There is DD6 and DS2 (who is a HUGE Toy Story fan). I'm leaning towards Stars and Cars, but wanted to see what the opinions were.

I'm no help because I love them both but seeing your son likes Toy Story I would say Stars and Cars.

OR . . . . our other option is this.
Forget the Ice Cream Social at Epcot, in which case we could then do both parades.

I prefer Stars and Cars, I love the different car designs and variety of characters.

Forget the ice cream social and do both parades. The kids will love them both.

Another one for axing the Ice Cream Social!! We saw Stars & Motorcars 3 times on our last trip and for the first time saw Mickeys Jammin Jungle Parade and LOVED it!!

Well, I think we're skipping the Ice Cream social and just staying in the parks and watching both parades. We're planning on going in May for my DS's birthday, so we'll just do the Ice Cream Social then. Thanks for all the replies!

Id pick Stars & Motorcars. We have seen that twice now and really like it. We saw Jamin Jungle last week and were a little disappointed in it. It wasnt bad, but I expected more from it.

The Jammin Jungle parade allows for alot of interaction with the performers in the parade and some of the floats depending on where you watch it from...my son got lots of attention from everyone who passed by him..he was only 6 months at the time..but his daddy enjoyed the attention that he got by holding our son:rolleyes: I always feel so far away watching the parades at MGM..at AK I felt right in the middle of the action.

If you saw the parade last week, chances are that you didn't get the full effect. During the Christmas season cms are spread pretty thin so there actually could have been some elements missing.

I bet thats it then. It seemed really short and a good portion of it was just other guests riding along. I couldnt believe I waited over an hour for that. Thanks for the info! :D

We were at WDW for 10 days early December. Saw all the parades and loved them all. But as I look back at our Trip Album I was amazed at how many more pictures there were of the Animal Kingdom Parade. MGM..is simply cars and characters...nice, but nothing outstanding. AK's parade is a site of artistic creativity....huge, towering displays....colorful, exciting, and something much more difficult to put on. I wouldn't hesitate to say if only one...go to AK. But, as others say, skip the ice cream and go to both. Gee.....you can get ice cream at home. You will love it I'm sure. Good luck.

Personally, I prefer Stars and Motor Cars. I love the music, the old Hollywood theming and the abundance of characters- many more than in the AK Parade. I do like Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade as well (very cute and peppy), but if I had to choose between the two, I would pick Stars and Motor Cars.

When we went to the Stars & Cars, we noticed there was a family in one of the cars. Any idea how you get to do that?

I would skip the ice cream social and do both parades.

However, if I had to chose between the parades, I would choose Jammin Jungle. The music is great (sticks in my mind), and all the floats are very colorful. MGM parade is cute, but again, simply cars and characters.

I'm with c4241...The Stars and Cars is fun for the abundance of characters (which would be good for little ones), but the AK parade is more about artistry. I say hit both parades -- especially if you have a different character meal planned, as well.

Hope that helps!
