Stars and Motorcade Parade Question

We are going to WDW voer Christmas and were wondering if anyone knows if the MGM Stars and Motorcade Parade is a Christmas parade, or just the regular parade? I know that MK turns their afternoon parade into a Christmas parade after MVSCP ends. And I know that AK runs Jammin Jingle Christmas Parade during that time.

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows. Also if anyone has seen either the MK or AK Xmas parades, can you give me a breif summary? Was it better than the regular parade?

The Studios will be presenting the "Holly-Day Parade" beginning Thanksgiving weekend.

Are the Christmas parades "better" than the daily parades? Hard to say. Depends on how much you like Christmas and how much you like the daily parades. They're very different and very infused with the holidays. They seem fresher because they're only out there for a month, so everything looks brighter, somehow. But are they better? That's in the eye of the beholder.

I didn't like the Christmas parade at MGM last year. I prefer the one that runs most of the year.

Are you sure? I read that last year they didn't start the Holly-Day version until about half way thru Dec.

Thanks guys. We kinda have to decide between the AK parade and MGM one. i was hoping MGM wouldnt be Xams themed so our decision would be easier.

Well ... my info is coming from the Studio Entertainment Office, so I tend to believe it, but it could end up opening later. "All parade times are subject to change without notice."
