My friend and I are traveling to LA for a week within a few days, and were hoping to visit Disneyland for a day. We were looking online and found that Starline Tours offers 2 trips to Disneyland, one which includes the ticket. Has anyone ever used their services before? Are they reliable? Or should we just take the metrorail/buses? (which leads to safety at night and the fact where we live we've never taken a bus/subway in our lives :( ...kinda scared)

Any info will be GREATLY appreciated!

I have used them for other tours and they were reliable.
Just remember some of these tours depart well before closing time of the parks. I looked into one last year when I was staying in LA for a few days, and found out they left the parks at 7pm! It didn't seem worth the money.
Have you looked at amtrak schedules?
I have taken the metro system around LA numerous times and never felt scared at all.

The tour we found departs at 7:30pm, which isn't too bad, considering the park closes at 8 this Monday.

Just a couple thoughts.
*Will you be staying at a hotel near Disneyland? Several reasonably priced hotels are on Harbor Street right near the main entrance to the Disneyland area - if you can it might be worth staying there for 2 nights and be within walking distance to the park. You could check into a hotel in the afternoon then head over to Downtown Disney (shopping and restaurants!) for the evening to eat, shop, enjoy the Disney ambiance and even walk over and explore the Disney owned hotels (Grand Californian, Paradise Pier, DL Hotel) which are fun to walk around (hotel and gounds). Then wake up bright and early the next morning , head to the parks when they open and make a full day of it :-)
Even if you are staying a bit farther away in the Anaheim area, a taxi would probably be a reasonable cost for the two of you and safer! I'd avoid buses since you aren't familiar with the area.
*Is the ticket included with the tour just for Disneyland or a Park Hopper ticket that would allow you to visit both Disneyland and California Adventure? Figure those costs in when deciding if the tour cost is not outrageous.
