Has anyone done this? Was it worth it to you? I have done the Wanyama Safari and had an awesome interaction with a curious giraffe. But I realize that the animal interaction can be hit or miss. I have 3 kids and was wondering if this would be something that they would in be in awe to do. I am really torn in trying to decide to book or not. If you have done it - were you with children (12,11 and 8)? How did they react to it? OK or WOW

I have done it. It was a lot of fun. Its limited to about 20 people at most due to the size of the truck that you will be viewing from. My group had only one non-adult and she was in her late teens. Everyone else was at in their 30s and up. They give you night vision scopes to use to help see the animals and take pictures through that. I was terrified of dropping it since they can cost several thousand dollars to replace. Are you comfortable with your kids using these? To be honest, since the age limit is 8, I'm not sure if they have "accommodations" for kids to use them. Maybe the parent has to hold it for them? Maybe someone that had children on their tour can shed some light.

We did it with our son when he was ten. I did not worry too much about him dropping the scopes but I did stay right next to him when he was using them. I think your kids will love it. We certainly did.
