Hi everyone

I’m looking for opinions on the 8:30pm Starlight Safari (at Animal Kingdom Lodge) in early August. I know that it won’t be completely dark by 8:30, so I’m wondering how that impacts the Starlight Safari. Are the night goggles even needed? Has anyone done the 8:30pm tour during the summer months? How was it? Thank you!

Not in August, but we just went Sunday, May 29 and at first didn’t use the night vision goggles. I‘m guessing the first 15 minutes of the hour safari was still daylight.

Also went in May, Great Experience and liked the dusk to dark timing of the 8:30 tour, sunset in May was about 8:15 to 8:30P, in early August sunset is 8:10(ish) - so you will definitely use the low light monocular (they are handheld with a lanyard) as the tour progresses.

Does anyone know how many people fit in one vehicle for the Starlight Safari? We’re a group of 8 hoping to ride together.
