Can a regular Starbucks gift card be used in one of the Starbucks on property?

Not coffee drinkers and DH was given one as a gift and I'm thinking we could snag some tasty snacks or a few of those nifty mugs!

Thanks

Another yes! I received a few gift cards, put them in the app and there they sat for over a year. Last week I remembered them when walking by Starbucks at Hollywood Studios. We went in and each chose an Anna or Elsa cupcake to enjoy while waiting for the fireworks. It was a great use of that money as I don't drink coffee.

Awesome! Neither DH nor I drink coffee and there's rarely anything else at SB that is appealing to me...but knowing we can use it for something (yummy cupcake sounds perfect) is great.

Starbucks also makes some awesome iced teas - green tea, fruit teas as well as black tea. Very refreshing! You could also try one of those.

Ooh...I will definitely try! I'm sure anything cold, particularly iced cold, will be a very welcome treat. Thanks for the tip!

This is good to know. I love my Starbucks. Today for work I am attending a training at a different facility/location and there isn't a Starbucks around here. I literally walked several blocks in search of a Starbucks hoping that the find a Starbucks near me locator on my phone was wrong
The Starbucks locations in the parks weren't yet open on our last trip and having to wait a week until we were back at MCO was so tough! Being able to have my caramel macchiato while walking down Main Street will make the Magic Kingdom ten times more magical for me :cloud9:

Can I downlod the Starbucks app and put some money on the app insteadnof carrying an actual card?

Thanks so much!

Yes, this is what I do. You can link your Starbucks card to the phone app by typing in the numbers that are located on the back of the card. Makes it so much easier to pay since they can just scan the barcode on your phone. There is an option to reload your card with additional funds using a debit or credit card. This can all be done with the app as well.

Thanks for the info. There was a Starbucks in the hotel lobby we were staying at. But they said it wasn't a regular Starbucks so I couldn't use my gift cards. Not sure how to tell the difference.

Usually places in hotels or stores (with the exception of Target) are not Starbucks but places that "serve Starbucks coffee." I know that's the case with the Barnes and Nobles stores near me.

Yes!!! I just returned from a trip last week and had read on a previous trip about the Starbucks cards and I took some with me I used then ay downtown disney and at animal kingdom...... I love all the tips shared on this board!

And if you are a Starbucks Rewards member you will earn Stars on your purchases. You can NOT however redeem rewards.

If it is INSIDE another location, hotel, grocery, Target, etc, it is up to that location to accept the card or not. Those locations are owned & operated by the location, not Starbucks.
