Starbucks coming to Disney parks!

I picked up a coffe at starbucks for my wife (Right befor I went around the corner for my 99 cent cup) I think that was pretty close to 6 bucks already. I am thinking 8 dollar cups of coffe for the larger sizes at WDW.

Yea, your probably right!

in a shocking development...i'm gonna take the high road on this one:

why all the negativity on the pricing of starbucks?

people pay it...they are hugely successful...the competitors (mainly dunkin donuts and mcdonalds)...are sanka-smelling crap...who cares what they charge in WDW? a little more?

fine...i'll pay it...if its too much...it won't.

remember that WDW's targeted clientele is the new generation of yuppies and the grandpa/grandma original yuppies from the east coast/ upper midwest(Vacation Club anyone?)

there will be sufficient lines at starbucks...rest assured.

besides...they can charge double and it wouldn't be as bad as the ridiculous table service prices for significantly lesser quality foods than years ago...that is the real crime and nobody seems to really care.

37 dollars for what amounts to an old country buffet at chef mickeys...

Don't get me wrong I am firm believer in capitalism; I agree if I was running the operation I would charge as much as people will pay. But, doesn’t mean I don't think it is ridiculous or that I will pay it. I probably won’t be able to stop my wife either. Personally I will go without coffee before I spend what Starbucks charges or drink the dishwater DnD calls coffee. More power to them if people pay it.

What's your source on this?

source on what?

the starbucks opening schedule?...the starbucks story altogether?...or dunkin donuts being better?

I don't know the answer to the first....
the second is confirmed by disney and starbucks about 2 months ago
the third is entirely false

I was responding to Dunkin' Donuts being better. "Source?" seemed to be a popular question on this board years ago. It was just a joke.

I still vote for a Timmys at the Canada pavillion at Epcot. :P

That dishwater I drank during our last trip made me switch to Sweet Tea for the duration!

Timbits!!!

I love the cocoa at Starbucks, but when I'm in Florida, can't think of many days I'll be wanting a hot beverage, and I'm not really a coffee drinker, hot or iced, so this doesn't really effect me except to make my dad grumpy that it's not Dunkin Donuts.

ewww Starbucks! Their coffee is way overpriced and not good at all. I vote for Dunkin Donuts or WaWa!!

dunkin donuts tastes like Mumbai sewer water...

And Wawa is located within a between Virginia Perth Amboy, NJ...not exactly a national brand

starbucks is fine, thanks...if disney is going to outsource/ partner...the higher priced/ better quality partner they get is better for the consumer in the long run

It's actually a matter of choice of what each person likes. :) Sorry not much of a debating person here didn't mean to offend anyone. I know they are building a WaWa between Universal and SeaWorld just not sure when it is opening.

All I care about is being in Disney!!! 95 more long days!!!!

I will solve this issue inside the parks Disney will now serve Sanca!

in all my years of lurking I always wondered - but you've just confirmed my suspicions that you are in fact a crotchety octogenarian who time-travelled here from 1985.
