Starbucks coffee offer

On the bags of Starbucks coffe that you buy in the grocery store there is an offer that you can bring the empty bag to a Starbucks store and get a free coffee. Does anyone know if the Starbucks at magic kingdom will honor this offer?

We used to take the bags in to local Starbucks on a fairly regular basis, however, Starbucks has changed their rewards program and we have been told at two different locations that the bags are no longer honored for a free cup of coffee.

Instead, on the newer bags is a sticker that you can peel off that says "My Starbucks Rewards". With this new program, you have to set up an online account and link it to your starbucks card and rewards are dumped to you account/card. The rewards are not as generous as they were.

Assuming that the SB location in MK is a co-branded company-operated outlet such as Barnes and Noble, I would say no.

If the locale is a free-standing SB franchise, then yes.

I am thinking not because like the PP said, it's probably a store like in the airports where they don't honor those types of coupons.

I'm pretty sure you can earn "stars" but cannot redeem rewards at any of the park locations.

The last bag I bought had a "reward" that I entered into my Starbucks account. It is not worth one free drink, it is worth 1 point, so basically worth 1/12th of a drink. It takes 12 reward points to earn a free drink. This is definitely not as generous as it once was!

Thanks. The bags I purchased do have the sticker on it but also had the free coffee offer printed on the actual bag. I will try it at our local Starbucks.

Silly me. I got distracted by the coupon for a point without realizing that the bag had a free coffee on it (just checked my bag).

I asked at the Epcot Starbucks location. The CM checked with the manager, and the manager said no. This was in early November. I would think the same policy would apply at the Starbucks in the MK.

Parks locations accept the gold card (gift cards) for payment & you will earn stars but they do not accept any of the rewards.

I have a free coffee and free food item on the app (from the Grocery challenge last month) So you are saying they won't take that either?

BTW: We have saved our $20 (earned 2 $10 ecards) to use next month

Correct the free drink/food is part of the rewards program. They accept it for payment but do not honor the rewards/discounts from the program.
