Well, I thought it would be fun to start a Star Wars thread. Here all the SW fans can talk about all things Star Wars. To start, my favorit character is Darth Plagueis, he was a master in the force, and was the "father" of Anakin Skywalker who is my second favorite.

Didn't Anakin's mom say that there was no father?

My BF got me into Star Wars lol. I've only seen the most recent movies, but they were good. :)

The in-universe explanation is that he was conceived by the midi-chlorians. I haven't read too much EU, so the Darth Plagueis explanation may disprove this.

I always thought that Darth Plagueis, by using The Force like he did, caused ripples through the galaxy which resulted in Anakin being conceived.

Or...Anakin's mother had a secret fling with someone. xD

Anyways, I much prefer the originals to the new ones in every way.

He purposely created Anakin. My favorite movie is #2 attack of the clones. Has much more action then other movies.

Much mystery surrounds the birth of Anakin Skywalker. There was no father -- Shmi Skywalker carried him in her womb and gave birth to him, yet how he came to be remains a puzzle. Some speculate that it was the will of the Force. Darker theories point to forbidden Sith experiments that could coax midi-chlorians to create life. Whatever the explanation, Anakin was destined to be special, despite his lowly status as a slave.

In the third movie Palpatine says that Darth Plagueis discovered a way to stop people from dying. So if he could stop death then why couldn't he create life? Darth Plagueis was probably one of the greatest sith lords and one of the smartest.

I have never seen a Star Wars movie and have no clue about the franchise but my boyfriend is a fan so we took a trip to the 'Star Tours' attraction in Discoveryland, Disneyland Paris.
I have to say it was fantastic! I really enjoyed the simulator and even the hour or so wait.
Heres a video of our experience.

Anyone else like this ride? Is this ride at all the other parks around the world too?
