Has anyone seen or heard the schedule for the Star Wars Weekends? My kids keep asking who is going to be there & when. pirate: Thanks for anyhelp!!

I want to say that last year they announced the schedule in April. This far in advance it can be hard to secure celebs since they often don't know what they will be doing at the time. I was there last year and it was a blast! People dress up as characters and everything.

Try asking on the Theme Park Attractions board. Maybe someone there will have more information.

Did I miss a memo?

Shows how much I have been paying attention. When we went last year, I just thought it was only becuase of the new movie comming out.

I would love if it was the same time we go this year, it would make my son forget that the Pirates ride will be closed. My 5 yo is a HUGE SW fan, has seen all 6 dozens of times and now he has the lightsaber game that he refers to as his "Jedi Training". We were so clueless to what was happening last year we did not know about Star Wars Weekends until we saw the billboard as we were driving in! I looked at my wife and said "well, now we know where we are going first" (it was sunday). I think his head almost exploded but he was kinda freaked out by seeing Darth Vader in person. He has been asking if he will see any SW characters again, so I am glad I found these forums so I will know before we go in late June what to expect.

You will find bunches more of this type of info on the Theme Parks Planning board (I almost moved this post over there, but figured it was close enough to a rumor to let it stay). I'm glad you found us too - the boards are a great resource.

I am crestfallen.

They have the schedule posted on the WDW/MGM website and the weekends are over 2 weeks before we get there (last weekend is the 9, 10 & 11th of June). So now No Pirates, No Obi Wan.

Last year, they annouced halfway through that they were adding two more weekends to the lineup. I don't know the reasoning behind it, maybe someone else on here does....

Heres to hoping they do it again this year...I'm always ready for extra SW weekends!! :darth:

I was at Star Wars Weekend Last year and it was Awesome. The characthers and music. I would recomend that weekend to any star war Fans.
