These are really fun. Ive been to 3 of them and they are great even for casual Star Wars fans. The extra activities such as the behind the scenes stuff and the 'Jedi school' are fun additions. Also really liked seeing fans dressed up in various ragalia. Great photo ops with characters too and the chance to meet some of the stars.

This year the dates have been announced as june 6-29 so that is every weekend in June.

There are meet & greets with celebrities from the films, loads of costumed characters and special events like a trivia quiz and a big show. Crowds can be big but they are usually intent on the merchandise and autographs..

i worked most of the Star Wars Weekends in 2007, and let me tell you there are so many (10,000+ extra) more guests in the park when its Star Wars.

If you want to meet any of the stars, i am pretty sure you will need a fast pass, and people arrive at the park at about 5 or 6am to get them. The park will open earlier to let people get these fast passes.

We were there las year & although very busy, it was fun seeing people dressed up. The star wars acadamy was very poorly run, we waited over an hour at the rope and then almost got crushed in the rush as it comes from 2 sides. My ds then 9 got to the front but did'nt get picked & was so disapointed, it kinda spoiled the day for us. We did meet a nice family while waiting, but encountered others argueing (this was adults). We would'nt do it again.

The Jedi Training Academy is now a permanant fixture so I would recommend trying to do this during the week and not at SWW.
