Star Wars Weekend Tips 2012

A bit confused by a prior post. If DS (who is 8) and I wait on different lines so we end up w/ FP for two celebs instead of two FP for the same person, when it comes time to return for the autograph, will I be able to stand with him or I can't even be with him when he meets the celeb if I don't have my own FP?

He'd be in a roped off area. When he's with the celebrity you won't be with him and the celebrity but outside the roped area. You will be within 1-3 feet of him and be able to take pics and for him to see you and hear you.

Same thing with my son last year and he was 6 yrs old. I stood next to the roped area and asked the CMs inside the area to watch over him and they were extra accommodating; talking with him, joking w/him, etc.

You are not allowed to be with him. You can stand outside the fenced area and shoot pictures at him but you won't be allowed inside. If the celeb is inside a building, you will have to wait outside.

No you can't stand with him. He has to go on his own.

Any idea how much the pictures cost? They look really cool, but I am already spending more than I want on the carbon freeze me for myself and my son.

Somewhere around $50.

Thanks. If this is correct, then it sounds like I should just get my own FP for the same celeb since I would not want him to be inside the building himself.

Also, is there any SWW merchandise available in the regular Star Wars store during SWW or the weeks in between? Or is all the special merchandise in Darth Mall?

Thanks. If this is correct, then it sounds like I should just get my own FP for the same celeb since I would not want him to be inside the building himself.

Unless it's too hot for the celeb or raining, autographs are outside. You can stand near your son, just not in line.

No, yes, and no. Tatooine Traders has limited merch and won't sell it n the week.

Darth Mall is only open during SWW days, during non-SWW you'll find Star Wars merchandise at Tattoine Traders, The American Idol Experience Gift Shop, some at Backlot Tour store and Youse Guys Moychindise...just not the limited edition, special merchandise for the weekends...you might find the Star Wars weekends shirts and maybe some pins but not all the other special merchandise

this was taken from outside the roped area...your son would be on the inside (like the kid in the yellow shirt) and you'll be on the outside...so you'll be very close to him all the time...now if it gets to hot or if it's raining they move to an indoor location, in this case you'll be able to stay with him outside until the CM call his fp time, then he'll go inside with about 10 other people and he'll be in there for about 10 min...if your son is on the independent side he shouldn't have a problem, if he is more attached to you then he might have issues...

The rope drop show didn't happen, so I'm guessing they were trying something.

Over 2 hours for Vader
Line closed for Chewbacca, re-opens at 2 PM
1 hour for Maul
20 minutes for Amidala
30 minutes for the fab four, line will be cutting off soon for the parade
The Skywalkers's times are unknown thanks to Darth's Mall's big line
30 minutes for the Jedi Council
40 minutes for the Fetts

No rope drop, after crossing the turnstiles people just went about their day...from pictures I saw it was pretty packed this morning, maybe that's why they decided to open at 7:40am
