Hi Everyone - Counting the days here - 21, and can't wait...me and my best bud and my godson and his son...we are going to have a blast. First SSW for all of us.

I'm hoping you can all help me with a rope drop question - disney.com has Hollywood Studios opening at 9AM on the Saturday 6/2 (the only day we can make the rope drop). When do they make the call if they are going to open earlier? We want to see the Storm Trooper show in the AM, but don't need to be there super early for autograph fastpasses or JTA. So we will roll in 30 minutes or so before opening. But if they open at 8 and not 9...we will miss it.

Do they know at the park the day before? We will be there on Friday afternoon, so can I just ask someone?

I asked several CM's working different attractions and stores (STar Tours, Tattoine Traders, Backlot Tours, Toy Story) the attraction CM said that they were ready to open 15min before the park officially opens,for example, my husband works Backlot Tours and he has to be there at 7:15am for a 8am official opening. (CM schedules come out 1 1/2 weeks before) The merchandise CM said that they were going to be ready to open at 7am for an 8am opening, mainly because first day of SWW is LE merchandise day...other than that, they all said that the decision to open early is made depending on the amount of people outside the turnstiles every morning...I know this doesn't really help you, I would think that being at DHS at 8am for a 9am opening should be fine to see the stormtroopers. (they start there show 15min before opening the park)

On the signature fast passes, do you stand in one line to get one FP for the one character or do you stand in one line to get the FP for all the character you want? Like, If I want to get Ashley's (I forgot her last name) autograph and Commander Cody (I dont know if that is right....clone war guy), then I have to stand in one line for an hour, get the FP, then get in the back of Cody's line and wait for an hour? I just want to know what to expect so I dont freak out saying " Are you serious? I have to stand in THAT line too? " hahaha

Go ride TSM. Then head out to the merch tents and buy your pin. Get a ST FP afterwards.

Logically I'd get a ST FP first but then the line at TSM will get long, so just do TSM first. Then since you're in the direction of Darth Mall go there next. FP ST.

Celebrity Fast Passes lines are individual lines and those FP's are distributed before the park opens.

These are unrelated to character lines in the park such as Commander Cody.

I hope you're not speaking of the Celebrity who does the voice of Commander Cody Dee Bradley Baker. He'll have a Fast Pass Line the weekend he'll be there. The Disney character Commander Cody will be in the parks all 4 weekends and will have a regular character line, no fast passes needed.

If you want 2 celebrities you'll have to get in line for the 2nd celebrity and you won't be able to till 2 hrs later.

As long as you can get in line before 7AM you should be okay to get a Fast Pass. I will never guarantee saying that, though. The earlier you get there the more certain you can get a fast pass.

If you want his and Ashley's, I'd get in his line first. Check the time at the bottom corner of your fast pass, and get back in line for Ashley's 2 hrs later. She'll be there all four weekends so her line is not as long and fast passes may not run out.

Celebrity FPs aren't part of the ride FP system. I recommend splitting up in order to get the most out of it. I'm not sure about the process, yullin3 or Karpkg should be able to help.

FP for autographs are not linked to ride FP. It's my understanding (SWW newbie) that you will need to wait two hours between celebrity FP's. You may get lucky on the hosts as others have said, due to their being available for all four weekends.

The lines for the Celebrity Fast Passes are outside of the park. No Fast Pass machines. At a designated time the Cast Members(CM's) will come out with stacks of FP's and will go to the front of the line. You'll go by him/her and grab one. It will already be time dated in the corner of the Fast Pass; 2 hrs past that time you'll be eligible for the next Celebrity FP.

These are unrelated to a regular Fast Pass for rides.

If you want more celebrities you'll have to come another SWW morning and repeat the process.

My DS wants to see Ray Park and Ashley - can't I get in one line and DH get in another line as soon as we get to the park? Then we will have BOTH FP's for DS? My DH and I could care less about seeing them, so WE won't need FP's - this WILL work right??!!!!

That's a good idea!! Can I stand with her in line if I dont have a FP? Then we could get one for Ahsoka (voice) and she could get one for Cody (voice) YIPPIE!!! (if this works)

Thank you thank you for everyone clearing this up for me. I think I read somewhere they get there at 7am? I am happy that this doesnt interfere with the rides. I am still bummed you cant get everyone's autograph but I guess that helps with crowd control. I'M SO EXCITED! We are leaving in 2 days. YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think if you read this you'll get a better understanding of how the Celebrity FP line works and what we did. A new factor was thrown in last year that will probably be implemented this year as well; wristbands.

DH and DS stood in one line, DD and I were in another. We were wristbanded. Then we got our Fast Passes. We adults "forfeited" our wristbands to the kids and so both kids were able to see 2 celebrities. DH and I were outside the area and took pics.
