Star Wars Weekend Tips 2012

I didn't know that. So it's no trouble at all to pick up an autographed pic of a celeb even if you're unable to meet them? Do they typically run out or are there lots?

CM's tend to have stacks of them; it depends on how fast they're approached to be given out. When the celebs aren't there the pics are left on the table or there is a CM who'll hand them out to those that get close to the tent to investigate. I've gotten quite a few pics and gone back for more when during a rainout my backpack got wet and the pics inside were wet. I've also gotten pics this way from celebs I hadn't even seen.

The autographs though may be scanned or real. Billy Dee Williams were scanned, I think but Ray Park must have signed dozens of them by hand.

Okay,

I just pulled my autographed pics(the black and white Disney ones). Ray Parks is scanned; the signatures on several of them are identical. I have a blank Dave Filoni's one, and one of Anthony Daniel that he signed(he refused to sign anything else but that which Disney supplied), a few of Billy Dee Williams (scanned), Ashley Ecksteins, etc.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of obtaining a prior weekend celebrity's pic at Guest Services, come to think of it. Maybe you were there for only Wknd 4 but would have loved Wknd 1's celebrity pic but weren't there at the time? I think I'll try that when I'm there for Wknd 2 and 3.

LOL! At this stage I'm dredging up anything new I can possibly contribute that hasn't already been repeated. There are going to be some pretty savvy newbies out there who'll have SWW under their belt before they even get there!

Great tip!!! I also forgot about the CM handing out autographed pics...They are scanned but still pretty cool they have them...I will also try and find out if they'll have people from prior weekends...they have boxes of these pictures under their desk at the information desk by Sounds Dangerous, maybe you could approach a CM and ask there as well.
And to the people going for the first time...don't be nervous...remember...The Force Will Be With You...Always...

On the SWW map at DHS do they list when/where/who the Disney characters (dressed in Star Wars outfits) are at. Those are our favorites because they are funny.

DH did this last year. They didn't have everyone but they did have some. It was at the desk by Sounds Dangerous where you sign up for the PMC.

Not in as much detail as you may like. They give general info on the map. If you want to know specific times, you can ask a cm who has an information card in their pocket. Just remember to get there early as the Disney characters rotate and are popular. We often ran into it where the character who was there when we got in line was long gone til it was our turn.

Like Darth Goofy, Jedi Mickey? They are all in the same spot and rotate. They are to the left of the Great Movie Ride, as if you were heading to the ABC Commissary.

Sorry...there have been alot of JTA questions that's why...James Arnold Taylor should still be available around 8... If the park opens at 8am I would still be there around 7:45am for JAT autograph fp...sorry again for the misunderstanding

I've never seen the times until the first day. I would love to know too if it's published somewhere before then!!

I'm checking the HUB everyday, almost twice a day. I'll let you know any news that comes up there. Also look into sww.studioscentral.com (sww not a typo) they usually update all the news daily.
The full schedule is always posted only a couple of days before the first weekend, so stay tuned to the week of May 14th.

From my experiences in doing SWW during my time living/working at WDW opening day was a ZOO!!! (maybe it was because last year they reopened the redesgined Star Tours and George Lucas was even in the park). But I know that the wait for Star Tours can get pretty heavy so if you have any plans on riding that, Fastpass that ASAP.

Also, make sure you get an awesome spot for Hyperspace Hoopla, that show is amazing and it has Star Wars characters and some awesome music. Each year the theme is different than the last. Very cool show indeed!!!
