Star Wars Weekend Question

We are going to be in Disney May19th for Star Wars weekend. My son loves Star Wars. What is so special about this? Do they have a special parade? I can't find much about it.

First of all, be on hand for opening!!! The stormtroopers come out and "take over" the park. They walk along the top of the turnstiles and make comments/ joke around with the guests.

There are many special shows/ autograph sessions throughout the day and WWTBAM also themes their shows to Star Wars for the weekend. My son and I are huge SW fans, but we usually don't do the shows/ autographs because they are mobbed. We just like to walk around and enjoy the festivities, we encounter a lot of characters on the streets.

There is also a Jedi Training Academy where they pick little ones to do battle with Darth Vader on stage. That area is usually mobbed as well (I think some people hang out there all day long!) so we watch from a distance.

The Studios continue to have their normal parade, it just includes a lot of the SW characters.

We just have fun being there and enjoying the atmosphere. Most of these activities are around the Star Tours attraction. We have been to three of these and are headed back this year for the fourth time. Like I said, we enjoy just being there, but some folks really get into it and they can probably give you more detailed info on the shows and autograph lines than I can.
